For far too long we have normalised menstrual related pain .

I work with menstruators everyday to optimise their menstrual cycle in order to live the most empowered and in flow version of themselves.  My goal is to get you back to doing the things you love and to give you a little more resilience so when flare ups inevitably come, you’re not buckled by them. I want to support you in living YOUR life, and not be held back by pain. I believe this is my purpose in life – to support all menstruators, including women and gender diverse people, to live their best lives. Whether you have been diagnosed with endometriosis, PCOS, adenomyosis or you are waiting diagnosis, I meet you exactly where you are. I recognise your experience as valid, and will always see you and hear you.

Some of the ways I support you to optimise your cycle include:

  • Acupuncture to reduce pain, regulate pain pathways and support your nervous system regulation
  • Chinese herbal medicine to move stagnation and boost energy
  • Practitioner only supplements including vitamins and minerals
  • Education on the menstrual cycle and BBT charting
  • Informed birth control support

I frequently work with people that have:

  • Endometriosis
  • Adenomyosis
  • PCOS and PCO

I believe the menstrual cycle is our fifth vital sign and we were designed with far too much sophistication and brilliance to consider period pain and pelvic pain as normal. My goal is to reduce your pain to improve your quality of life and get you back to doing the things that you love. Your period is your superpower, it shouldn’t be holding you back.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED ACUPUNCTURE?

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Acupuncture can sometimes have an almost immediate effect on reducing pain, however, the length of time that the pain stays reduced varies. In cases of pelvic pain, depending on the severity of pain during the consult, I would expect pain reduction during the initial consult. Follow up treatments are required to “solidify” the treatment.

DOES ACUPUNCTURE HURT?

WILL YOU BE NEEDLING INTO MY PELVIS?

The style of acupuncture I use for cases of pelvic pain use distal acupuncture points to avoid needling into the pelvis. I also use on average 6-8 needles during treatment.

ARE HERBS NECESSARY?

Not all cases require herbs and I typically won’t prescribe herbs on the first visit. Herbal medicine is useful in cases of chronic pain, excess bleeding and when acupuncture alone isn’t achieving the results we’re seeking.

I work with all menstruating people to optimise their cycle, including in cases of:

  • Heavy bleeding
  • Anovulatory cycles
  • Irregular periods
  • Painful sex
  • Pelvic pain (cyclical and non-cyclical)
  • Amenorrhea
  • PMS and PMDD
  • Perimenopause

I have experience supporting gender diverse folks on optimising their cycle for their goals, including working alongside hormonal therapy. Please note I am always working with your symptoms to uncover the root cause of your presentation.
